Divergent: New Trailer and ‘Superhero-style’ Poster for the YA Adaptation After the massive success of the Twilight saga, Summit/Lionsgate started to adapt more -and in my opinion, better- Young Adult novels with Sci-Fy elements, like “The Hunger Games”, “Warm Bodies”, and more recently “Ender’s Game”. The next project jumping from the page hoping to become the beginning a film franchise is “Divergent” (in theaters & IMAX nationwide March 21, 2014), based on the mega popular novel by 25-year-old author Veronica Roth. The first thing that sets this one apart is the female power in its cast: Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, Ashley Judd, and Maggie Q, among others. All of them are featured in the new trailer below. To learn more about this adventure watch the second video, a Q&A done by director Neil Burger. “In a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities, Tris Prior is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.” What do you think of this new Divergent trailer and “superhero-style” poster?
