Escape Plan: Sly and Arnie flex more than their Muscles in a Great First Trailer

Remember that futuristic prison in Face Off? Well, that was nothing compared to The Tomb. That’s the name of the facility where both Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s characters need to scape from in Escape Plan.

The guns, the fights and the one-liners are there (“You hit like a vegetarian” mumbles the Austrian oak) but its set up reminds me more of a thriller like The Game (with Michael Douglas) than a straight “caged macho” prison flick.

Having these two action legends in a twisty ride is a surprise itself.

“Ray Breslin, the world’s foremost authority on structural security, agrees to take on one last job: breaking out of an ultra-secret, high-tech facility called “The Tomb”. But when he is wrongly imprisoned, he must recruit fellow inmate Emil Rottmayer to help devise a daring, nearly impossible plan to escape from the most protected and fortified prison ever built.”

Mikael Håfström (1408, Derailed) also directs Jim Caviezel, Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Neill, Faran Tahir, Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson, Amy Ryan, and Vinnie Jones.

Escape Plan fins his way into theaters on October 18, 2013.
