GHOSTBUSTERS Trailer Launch and Fan Event

Yesterday, Wednesday March 2, I answered the call and attended Columbia Pictures’ GHOSTBUSTERS Trailer Launch & Fan Event on the Sony Lot in Culver City.

Inside the Carey Grant theater Director Paul Feig, writer Katie Dippold and producer Ivan Reitman shared their devotion for the 1984 film (directed by Reitman) and their sincere commitment to creating a fresh reboot with today’s funniest actors in the leading roles: Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

After showing the first trailer the fans in attendance -and in full costume- demanded a second viewing cheering “One more time!” Feig expressed his gratitude and relieve after the strong positive response. The filmmakers had to endure a wave of negative comments in social media when it was the all-female team was announced. I am sure this trailer will silence any loud and disruptive digital presence.
