Marvel Confirms Hispanic Actor Daniel Bruhl for ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Marvel Studios announced today that Daniel Bruhl (“Rush,” “Inglourious Basterds”) will be joining their Cinematic Universe in “Captain America: Civil War” (in theaters May 6, 2016). The official information doesn’t mention the nature of his character, but Variety reports that he will play a villain but not the main one. Actually, the outlet claims that he “could potentially be the top menace in Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’.” President Kevin Feige said the following in regards to the casting: “With Daniel’s ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes.” Bruhl will share the screen with Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) and other regulars of the superhero saga. The half Spaniard, half German actor speaks Spanish perfectly (plus four other languages) as it was clear in 2011’s “Intruders.” After getting the call from Marvel, he probably celebrated with German beer.
