After months of speculations and “spy photos” the first official teaser trailer has surfaced for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (in theaters August 8).

Considering that they still have 4 months until release date, the special effects seem ready and amazing. That isn’t a surprise considering that Michael Bay is producing and Jonathan Liebesman (“Wrath of the Titans”, “Battle LA”) is the director. The saturated colors and the style reminds me though of Leterrier’s “The Incredible Hulk,” and that’s a good thing.

Everything here looks great, but Michelangelo’s prepuberty voice doesn’t match his massive body. But as long as what he says is good I am more than willing to give it a pass. Besides the humanoid amphibians we can see Megan Fox as April O’Neill, Will Arnett as another reporter, Vernon Fenwick, and the always fantastic William Fichtner as The Shredder.
