‘World War Z’ Blu-ray: Daniella Kertesz on Plane Scene, Brad Pitt, More (Excl. Video Interview) World War Z, one of the best blockbusters of 2013, is finally on blu-ray. After watching I have one word to say “Wow!”. On the big screen it was a lot of fun, but at home you can appreciate even more the movie’s incredible pace, atmosphere and suspense. My full review at https://www.desdehollywood.com/world-war-review-infectious-action-thriller/ Now let’s talk about the press event organized to promote this release. After parking at the bottom of a hill inside Griffith Park, journalists were taken to an area where an old Zoo used to be. The quick trip was on board of militaristic Hummers driven by fake, but really ‘method’, Army personnel. After learning some self defense, survival and unconventional cooking tips, I had the chance to do a couple of interviews. First, I talked to Daniella Kertesz, the Israeli actress that plays the soldier Segen. I asked her about her character, the international flavor of the film, that plane scene, working with Brad Pitt and -I had to- if she was jealous of his hair. The volume is kind of low so I would recommend some ear-buds for this one. I also talked about surviving a zombie apocalypse like the one depicted in World War Z with an expert like Sam Sheridan, author of ‘The Disaster Diaries: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Apocalypse’. Check out some photos of a press event as entertaining as the movie it was promoting.
